Biography
Raaj Kishore Biswas is a biostatistician and an R enthusiast. He works as a Biostatistician (Research Fellow) at the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney with Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis in the Physical Activity, Lifestyle, and Population Health team. He is also a research biostatistician (part-time) at the Clinical Research Centre of Sydney Local Health District in NSW Health. His primary work focuses on dealing with health data modelling, analysis of large cohort and randomized trials as well as providing statistical consultation for multifaceted health research.
His PhD at UNSW Sydney (2022) assessed driver behaviour and risk associated with everyday driving in Australia using the Australian Naturalistic Driving Study (ANDS). He is also a sessional lecturer at Swinburne, where he supervises postgraduate students.
Raaj’s current area of interest focuses on lifestyle behavioral factors and the early prevention of non-communicable diseases. He regularly collaborates with colleagues across globe to work on biostatistics and public health projects, particularly focusing on the health care system and service accessibilities in developing countries.
